The trail starts at the saddle between the Selca and Poljane Valleys – at Preval – and runs along the ridge trail leading towards Grebljica and forward towards the hut on Stari vrh. At Grebljica, where the land flattens out and somewhat widens and before the trail starts to climb slightly, a hunting path branches off to the right a few meters from a small reservoir, leading over a relatively steep slope above Plešnica. 

The trail is very narrow in some parts, so caution is required. Above the village of Podvrh, the trail runs between rocks and rock edges and has a very nice view. The trail leads to the saddle between Stari and Mladi vrh, which the locals call “At the Caves” (“na Jamah”). The Hunters’ Trail ends here, and we also recommend the ascent to Mladi vrh. Namely, the Loka Mountain Trail leads to the saddle along the ridge of Stari vrh, which continues to Mladi vrh and on towards Koprivnik. 

Every year in September, a guided hike is organized, starting at 9 a.m. in the parking lot at the lower station of the six-seater chairlift at the Stari vrh Ski Resort.
