In the Šubič House, the birthplace of the Slovenian painters Janez and Jurij Šubic, the most important fine art workshop in Slovenia operated under the leadership of their father Štefan Šubic in the second half of the 19th century.

The museum collection offers a walk through the art of the painters of the Šubic family.
