In the Šubič House, the birthplace of the Slovenian painters Janez and Jurij Šubic, the most important fine art workshop in Slovenia operated under the leadership of their father Štefan Šubic in the second half of the 19th century.

Today, it houses a cultural centre, which provides you with a real creative experience with an interesting museum collection. The museum collection offers a walk through the art of the painters of the Šubic family. The cultural centre is complemented by inspiring workshops, work in the art studio and exhibitions in the exhibition gallery. In addition to the Šubic family, get to know other famous men and women of the Poljane Valley through funny caricatures.
