The Karlov Mill
Point Description
Adequate water content and the drop in water contributed to the existence of quite a few mills and sawmills in the area of the Poljane Valley. One of the few still operating mills is the Karlov Mill in Žirovski vrh, the history of which dates back to the 18th century.
Today, you can still get quality flour, wheat semolina, various porridges and pot barley, and homemade bread and pastries are also baked on the homestead.
